Indian Institute of Science Bangalore (IISc) and Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) Joint admission Examination M.Sc. (JAM) for admission into integrated PhD. IISc Bangalore and M.Sc. Degree program (two years), combined M.Sc. -Ph.D., M.Sc-PhD. Dual Degree, M.Sc. -M.Tech., M.Sc.-M.S. (Research) / Ph.D. Dual degree and other postgraduate degree programs in IIT. JAM's main objective is to consolidate science as a career option for bright students across the country. It is expected that the research infrastructure, inter-disciplinary dialogue and the vibrant academic environment of IISc Bangalore and Preparation for IIT JAM will enable these students to create research and development careers in basic science as well as inter-disciplinary areas of science and technology. Our Examination Strategy

We provide classroom training in M.Sc, Joint M.Sc-Ph.D, M.Sc-Ph.D Dual Degree, Joint Entrance Examination in IITs, integrated PhD programs in IISc and other M.Sc entrance examinations. are doing. Institutes like TIFR, BARC, JEST, IMSc, BHU, JNCASR, IISER, DU, JNU, ISM, CSIR NET GATE in chemistry etc. provide ICT-JAM quality education with care, guidance and friendly atmosphere in the field of chemistry. All the above-mentioned exams are similar to the IIT-JAM course. Apart from this, we also provide post-study material for IIT-JAM examination and other similar competitive examinations.

National Eligibility Test (NET) for determining eligibility for lecture and Jr. Research Fellowship (JRF) award for Indian citizens for ensuring the minimum standard for admission to the University for the teaching and research of University Grants Commission (UGC). Tests are organized in basic science, humanities (including language), social sciences, forensic sciences, environmental science, computer science and applications and electronic science.

Examination Scheme for joint UGC-CSIR-NET/JRF

Single paper test having Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) is divided in three parts A, B and C.

A . 15 out of 20 question to be attempted 30 MARKS

B . 35 out of 40 question to be attempted 70 MARKS

C . 25 out of 60 question to be attempted 100 MARKS


Upper age limit may be relaxed up to 5 years in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (As per GOI central list), Physically handicapped/Visually handicapped and female applicants.

For Lectureship (NET) : No upper age limit.

Minimum Educational Qualification for NET/JRF:

BS – 4 years program / B.E./ B.Tech / B.Pharma / MBBS / IntegratedBS-MS / M.Sc./ MCA / M.Tech or Equivalent degree with at least 55% marks for General & OBC candidates 50% for SC/ST candidates,Physically and Visuallyhandicappedcandidates.

Note: The candidate has passed the M.Sc. Or even after completing 10 + 2 + 3 years of the above qualification examination, are eligible to apply on this condition under the above-mentioned subject (RA) category on condition that they have the degree of merit degree with a percentage of merit validity Duration does this. Two years to get a fellowship from the effective date of the award. Such candidates will have to submit duly certified format (looking at the back of the application) by the department/head of the institute from where the candidate is seen or seen.

B.Sc. (Hons) or equivalent degree holders or students enrolled in integrated MS-Ph.D. program with atleast 55% marks for General and OBC candidates; 50% for SC/ST candidates, Physically and Visually handicapped candidates are also eligible to apply.

Candidates with bachelor’s degree, whether Science, engineering or any other discipline, will be eligible for fellowship only after getting registered/enrolled for Ph.D./integrated Ph.D. program within the validity period of two years.

NET/JRF Exam Schedule:

UGC conducts NET twice a year, i.e.,in the months of June and December. The notifications announcing the June and December examinations are published in the months of February/March and August/September respectively in the weekly journal of nation-wide circulation, viz, Employment News.


JRF fellowship scholarship, currently, is 25,000 per month. The Fellowship will be applicable in accordance with the rules and conditions of CSIR, UGC or Research Scheme. The number of fellowships for each subject is limited. Such special consideration will be given to SC / ST applicants in accordance with policy guidelines, as may be decided by the Co-ordination Committee. Fellowship will be initially for 2 years carrying a monthly stipend of 25,000. On completion of two years as JRF (NET), a stipend can be increased to 28,000 / -p.m. For 3 years on the basis of an assessment of the candidate's research progress through interviews by the prescribed expert committee and Ph.D. Registration. On such a recommendation, the participant will be called SRF (NET). Total term of JRF (NET) plus SRF (NET) will not exceed 5 years.
